Your home dashboard is a quick snapshot of how you’re doing, how well you could be doing and where your visitors are coming from.

This is what you see on first glance. Let’s take a closer look. 

1. Time picker 

With the time filter you can choose how far you want to go back with your insights – whether it’s 14 days (as is here), 30 days, 60 days or even since inception! Just click on the filter to toggle between time periods. Your selected time period will apply to all of your Insights dashboards and data. 

The next three numbers tell you how many new articles you have published, how many new readers you have acquired and your total views, all for the specific time period you have selected. I have 14 days. 

2. Overall Activity 

This graph tells you how many new Readers you have, your total Reads and of course, your Views, all for the select time period. 

If you’d like to find out the same information, but for a given category you’ve written about, just scroll down the ‘All’ bar and select your desired category. 

3. Traffic Source 

Are you interested in knowing where your Reads are coming from? This pie chart reveals what percentage of your Reads – when someone has remained on your article page for over 60 seconds – are attributed to Social Media, Organic and Other. 

Social Media = Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Reddit etc. 

Organic = an individual found you directly through Leakd. 

Other = Search engine result, email link etc

You can dig deeper and find out whether the Reads are from Leakd users, non-Leakd users or everyone. Just click the scroll down box and make your selection. 

4. What’s Trending 

This data tells you which of your work is trending. By selecting ‘All’, you’ll have information for your top 3 trending articles across all categories. But you can

Dig deeper by simply selecting a category you’ve written and published about. Once you make that selection, you can see the views you are receiving for the article(s) in that category.

Remember to keep an eye out on the Articles section. This where those articles will appear. 

5. Self-Assessment 

This data gives you a linear vision of how well you could be doing if you continue publishing at your current rate. You can set the time period for the next 14, 30 or 90 days. It is default set to Views but if you would like to know your Reads performance, simply toggle between the two options. 

6. Future Forecast 

This particular data set will give you an idea of how well you could be doing if you increased how often you published. Conversely, if you were to slow down how often you publish or stop all together, what would be the resulting effect on your Views and Reads. Toggle between Views and Reads at your leisure.
